I love flowers, particularly roses. However, I must admit that I find they are very overpriced considering they only last a few days or a week at best before they begin to wilt and no longer create the visual excitement they did at first sight. So you can imagine how curious I was about the new concept of ‘eternal roses’.

We had the opportunity to learn more about this interesting offering through a new company called Enchanted Garden in Toronto. We selected a luxurious medium sized black velvet round box filled with a deep pinkish-red colour of roses. They were shipped quickly and arrived in a cute box with notes from the business owner about the product. They really were picture perfect, I was very impressed!

I have to admit I much prefer this concept to a traditional bouquet. At first I just assumed that the only benefit would be how long they lasted but I learned there are other benefits as well. Normally I would have to be strategic about where to place any fresh flowers because I also happen to have a curious cat in my household. However, he seems to accept this arrangement as an aesthetic centrepiece without wanting to investigate further (so that’s a big win)!

So how long do these roses last? unlike most flowers, these gorgeous creations will last 1-5 years! Enchanted Garden Roses® are real, natural roses that have been cultivated and picked from vibrant rose fields around the world and then preserved to maximize their lifespan.

This particular centrepiece is valued at $269 + tax. (I apparently have expensive taste!). This price point might seem a bit steep but in all honesty when you measure cost per day or even note the fact that no maintenance is required, I’d say it’s very much worth it!
